Mandy Cox
I have been providing counselling in the area of grief and loss since 2006, beginning with my work as a Spiritual Care Co-ordinator at Territory Palliative Care in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Moving to Canberra in 2010 provided an opportunity for me to focus my studies on grief, loss and trauma. I am a Certified Bereavement Practitioner and have worked in a range of organisations including SIDS and Kids, Victim Support, the ACT Coronial Counselling Program as well as establishing Canberra Grief Centre with my colleague in 2013.
As well as a focus on grief, I am trained to provide counselling to clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, abuse and trauma. I also work with people as they live through some of life’s transitional stages.
In addition to providing counselling I am qualified to provide supervision to counsellors, clergy and spiritual directors
At the beginning of 2019 I relocated to Newcastle with my family. I am pleased to have been able to re-establish my practice as a counsellor and supervisor, providing a safe place for clients to grow and flourish in the midst of their life circumstances.
