How we can help you

Grief is a part of life for every person in this world. At some point we will all lose a loved-one dear to us, leaving us with feelings of profound loss and bereavement that are difficult to prepare for, and even more difficult to overcome. But they can be overcome.

Grief usually passes through six stages, but these stages are not separate, nor do they necessarily follow in sequence.

  • Shock
  • Anger
  • Denial
  • Bargaining
  • Depression
  • Acceptance

An initial stage of shock or disbelief when it is difficult to believe that the death has occurred. This stage may last minutes or weeks.

A stage of acute anguish that usually lasts from weeks to months when feelings of depression occur. Planning the future may be difficult.

A phase of resolution after months, or even years.
